The weight of the cone is not an exact science. We estimate the weight of a cone in this yarn to be 2kg, but it could be more, which is why you can only put increments of 2.5kg in the basket. When the cone is dispatched it will be weighed and at this stage you will be charged the correct amount for the number of kg you receive.
Our Supergeelong lambswool yarn originates from the merino sheep grazing the meadows of Geelong, Australia. The carefully selected fibres are then shipped to Italy for spinning by Zegna Baruffa Lane Borgosesia. This is a superior lambswool yarn giving a very soft hand feel. We are selling it in 2 counts; 1/15 for 12gg knitting and 2/15 for 7gg knitting. Of course you can always ply it up yourself for heavier gauges. Each count is available in a wonderful range of colours all carefully created by our Italian designers, they certainly know a thing or two about colour!
